Yanamamo are often seen as hunters, fishers and gardeners, with females planting and males executing the more onerous and toilsome work. Their culture consists of approximately 35,000 natives and up to 250 villages, with 95% residing deep inside the forest and the other 5% who live adjacent to rivers. Yanomami are contemporarily in a menacing and wretched predicament.
