POMPEII
Pompeii is an ancient city of Campania, Italy, located at the base of Mount Vesuvius. Pompeii was demolished in 79CE from the disastrous eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The eruption sprayed lethal clouds containing of gas, stones, ash and fumes, thus releasing a major amount of thermal energy across Pompeii. The remains of this catastrophe is an extremely substantial part of Roman history which now brings tourists from around the world to view this historically educational site. Pompeii is by far one of the most pedagogic sites in the world and the evidence from the volcanic eruption shows a great deal about Ancient Pompeii. Additionally, with every Pompeiian citizens dying in the destruction which was about 10,000 to 20,000 people, the well preserved site of Pompeii has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
